Best Automated Laundry Racks in Singapore: Steigen vs Prism+ vs GoodLiving (2026)
How Steigen, Prism+ Solaris and GoodLiving automated laundry racks compare on price, load, drying, size, warranty and installation, plus what to check in your service yard first.
- Prism+ Solaris has the lowest listed price; GoodLiving and Prism+ Pro list the highest load at 50kg.
- Steigen offers 5 years parts warranty and free install on concrete ceilings up to 2.8m.
- Check your ceiling type, rack length and power point before you buy.

Prism+ is the cheapest to start with, while Steigen and GoodLiving cost more but come with longer motor cover and free installation on more ceiling types. Which one should you get?
- Lowest upfront cost: Prism+ Solaris. Check that you have, or can add, a dedicated 13A power point near the rack.
- Heavy family loads: GoodLiving or the Prism+ Pro models, which are listed at 50kg.
- Longest parts cover out of the box: Steigen, with 5 years parts.
- Low or awkward ceilings: Steigen lists ceiling-height requirements per size. Measure the drop from ceiling to window top before you choose a length.
Before you buy: check your service yard
- Ceiling type. Concrete takes the rack directly. With a false ceiling, the rack must be fixed through to the slab above, and some brands charge for reinforcement.
- Power point. If there is no suitable socket or lighting point nearby, a new power point must be installed by an EMA licensed electrical worker. Never run an extension cord in a wet service yard.
- Length and clearance. The lowered rack must clear the window, the washing machine and any ceiling light.
- HDB rules. A ceiling drying rack in the kitchen or yard needs no HDB permit. HDB's guidelines limit fasteners to 6mm diameter and 40mm depth, so make sure the installer follows them.
Installing a rack you bought elsewhere
If you bought a plug-in rack online, or it came without installation, we can fit it. Installing a plug-in rack you have bought typically costs $100 to $180. Removing an old rack and patching the holes is about $40 to $80. See automated laundry rack installation, or compare with manual drying racks.
