Curtain Repair Singapore: Problems We Fix
- Track pulling off the ceiling or wall. Usually loose brackets or plugs that have worked out of the concrete. We refix the brackets with new plugs, or add brackets so the load is spread.
- Sagging or bent track. A track that bows in the middle needs an extra bracket or a replacement length.
- Gliders that jam or fall out. Broken gliders, a missing end stop or dirt in the channel. We replace the gliders and clean the track.
- Missing or bent hooks. Hooks replaced and the curtain re-hung so the pleats sit evenly.
- Broken pull cord or wand. Cord-drawn tracks re-corded, and pull wands replaced.
- Curtain rods. Loose rod brackets refixed, and bent rods replaced.
- Curtains too long or too short. Hems shortened, and hooks repositioned to adjust the drop slightly.

Ripplefold, ceiling-recessed and motorised tracks are quoted after we see them. If the old track left holes in the ceiling, our hole repair service patches them.
What to Send for a Quote
- A photo of the whole window with the curtains closed.
- A close-up of the track or rod, including the brackets and the end of the track.
- A short video of the problem, such as the curtain jamming or the track dropping.
- The width of the window, and whether the track is fixed to the ceiling or the wall.
- For shortening, how much shorter you want each panel, and whether it is lined.
Repair the Track or Replace It?
Refixing or adding brackets is enough when the track itself is straight and the gliders run freely once cleaned. Replace the track when it is bent, the channel is cracked, the gliders keep jumping out, or you want to change the curtain style, for example to ripplefold. Why does my curtain track keep falling down?
Usually the wall plugs have loosened in the concrete, or there are too few brackets for the weight of the curtain. Refixing with new plugs and an extra bracket normally solves it.
Can you fix curtains that are hard to pull?
Yes. Jamming is usually caused by broken gliders, dirt in the track or a bent section. We clean the track, replace gliders and straighten or replace the section.
Do you shorten curtains?
Yes. Hems are shortened from about $20 a panel. Lined and blackout curtains cost more.
Can you repair a curtain track I bought elsewhere?
