Zebra Blinds Singapore: How They Work
A zebra blind is a roller blind with two layers of fabric. Each layer has sheer and solid bands. When the bands line up, light comes through the sheer strips. When they overlap, the blind closes. You change the setting with the chain, without rolling the blind up.
- Dimout bands. The common choice for living rooms. Darkens the room but not fully.
- Blackout bands. For bedrooms. Darker, but light still comes in at the edges and between bands slightly.
- Wood-look and textured fabrics. A warmer look for living areas.
If you need a fully dark bedroom, a plain blackout roller blind or blackout curtains will block more light.
