Sheer Curtains Singapore: Fabrics and Styles
- Plain voile. Light and very translucent. The lowest cost sheer, and easy to wash.
- Linen-look sheer. A slightly heavier weave with a natural texture. Gives more privacy by day.
- Textured and patterned sheers. Stripes, slubs and embroidered patterns for a more decorative look.
- Ripplefold sheers. Hung on a ripplefold track for an even wave. A clean look in modern homes.
- Pinch pleat sheers. The classic pleated heading on a standard track.
Sheers let in light and soften glare, but they do not darken a room. At night, when your lights are on, people outside can see in. For bedrooms, pair them with a night layer. See day and night curtains.
Sheer Curtains Price in Singapore
Typical 2026 prices, made to measure and installed on an existing track. Sheers are priced by the width of the window, since the fabric is gathered to about twice the width.
| Window | Typical price |
|---|---|
| Small window, up to about 1.2m wide | $80 to $180 |
| Standard window, about 2m to 2.4m wide | $180 to $450 |
| Living room window or sliding door, about 3m to 4m wide | $300 to $600 |
| Per foot of window width (guide) | $20 to $45 |
| New single track, if needed | $80 to $140 |
Linen-look and premium fabrics sit at the top of each range. Adding sheers to an existing night curtain needs a double track. See curtain track installation, and our curtains price guide for night curtains.
Sheer Curtains or Blinds?
Sheers are softer and suit living rooms and full-height windows. If you want a similar daytime view with less fabric, sunscreen roller blinds or zebra blinds control glare on a window that faces the sun. Read blinds vs curtains for the trade-offs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do sheer curtains cost in Singapore?
A standard window of about 2m to 2.4m is typically $180 to $450 made and installed. Small windows start from about $80, and a 3m to 4m living room window is around $300 to $600.
Do sheer curtains give privacy?
By day, sheers make it hard to see in from outside. At night, with lights on inside, people can see through them, so bedrooms usually need a night layer too.
Can sheers be added to my existing curtains?
Yes, if you have a double track. If you only have a single track, we replace it with a double track or add a second one.
Can sheer curtains be washed?
Most polyester voile sheers can be gently washed. Check the care label. Our curtain cleaning service handles take-down and re-hang.
Do sheer curtains block heat?
Only a little. They cut glare, but for heat on a west-facing window a blackout curtain, sunscreen blind or solar window film does more.
